Cortland clock tower burns.

Oh, how sad. When you've driven by this a few hundred times in your life, it brings tears to your eyes to see the photo of the clock in flames....

Working in downtown Cortland, I went to the Pizza shop in the first floor of the building at least once a week for lunch. Had to deal with the students who lived there and the stories of them in newspapers and complaints from townies. It does dominant the townscape. I hope they can restore the tower.

I have lived in the Cortland area all my life and I was there the day the tower burned. It was a devistating sight to see it fall. I can't wait o see the new tower built in it's place
