A feline welcome

Four days does not a quarentine make. Well, it's better than nothing. I prefer a longer period. But with the long nights (making the first floor of the cat facility quite dim) and the chill, it was time to move Scarecrow on up to the second floor with the cats who are for adoption and where there four times the windows, as well as electric heat.

True to form, Wings-- who loves anything on four feet--- was right up there saying hello. Pooh, the black fellow, wasn't far behind.

Scarecrow is female!

She needs a new name.

The resident cats live in cat rooms and cat runs (no cages). Newcomers and kittens are caged. Scarecrow is the only one in a cage right now. The cats each get "liberty" from their rooms for half of the day. The facility is cleaned twice a day, and at those times, the cats are rotated so everyone gets times to play and to snooze on different windowsills. Posted by Picasa

Scarecrow is ok for a girl, isn't it? I like it, but I guess some potential adopters might have trouble with it. :) I appreciate the rotating cats through various rooms thing. Need to rotate them more here, really, but the drapes/plants/furniture can't take it ;)

What a sweet photo! "Reach out and touch someone."
Yes, maybe a new name would be good for Miss Scarecrow. How about 'Raven'? Although that makes me think more of a really black cat. Hmmmm...
