Visit to the egg/hay farm
Mark and I were over at Nancy's last week (has it been whole week?) and I stopped by the poultry farm on that way home. The farm cats were spay/neutered three years ago, and we did a bit of rabies booster and catch-up spay/neuter last year.
There were cats, but not many. And I didn't see a single one behind the barn, where there used to be six or seven hunting in the grass.
If you click that last photo, you'll see one cat, plus the water pan and food on the floor that the farmer provides for the cats. He feeds them on cardboard on the floor to keep them apart so they won't have tiffs. I imagine that's not as big a deal as it used to be, with fewer cats, and most of them fixed.
