The Blogpound has a new kitten.

Check out this scared little girl.

Then look at the difference a little love and time makes!

Both of the longhaired cats I have had never did proper meows- they always just squeaked.

She's adorable!

Thanks for posting that, Georg, as I really did think her version of "meow" was bizarre. We call it her, "squeaky hinges in a haunted house" sound.

She's been interesting to have around because she's completely unlike our other three kittens. She may not be feral, but she's not used to people. She also doesn't have "social skills" with other cats, so she's rather nippy and a bit overwhelming at times. We're letting our kittens try to show her some manners, and I hope she'll learn to not bite down so hard, not to claw our legs, etc. She's not malicious, just playful, but it doesn't seem like she's used to interaction with anyone or anything.

I want to find her a home, but it would need to be one with another young cat. She's got so much energy that I'm afraid she would be destructive if she was bored or left alone excessively.
