"Hey, Lady, Norma's not upstairs?"

"No, Nellie, I'm afraid Norma is gone and won't be coming back. She was very sick and would have been wretched if I had to stick her with fluid needles every day."

After spending two years almost entirely upstairs, Nellie has moved downstairs. She really was staying up there in the chilly upstairs just to be with Norma.

Cats are friends. Thank you for making Norma's last years less lonely, Nell.

Rest in peace, little Norma.

I'm so sorry. If only we all could have a friend like Nellie. I'm sure Norma will be missed greatly.

Awww, so sorry to hear about Norma. You did the right thing. Having put down five animals in the past few years, myself, it really doesn't get any easier does it?

I will dearly miss seeing sweet Norma scoot under the futon as I come upstairs to clean the litter boxes when you're not home. Bless Norma, her pal Nellie, and you during this transition. Each loss is truly heartbreaking, no matter how many there are. {HUGS}.....

I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to Norma. Even with kitties that aren't very social, you definitely notice when they are missing.
