This is interesting. Droncit (a tapeworm medication) is available in a spot-on treatment in the U.K.

I was going to say they've had worming medication in the flea treatments for a while now, but that's for roundworm not tapeworm.
And thank you so much for the info on the foxes too! You had a couple, I haven't even met one in real life yet, but they just have my heart. Thanks for the idea about the ex-pet one - I am in a one bedroom apartment so totally not suitable for one. It would be hard enough on a cat - there is a little cat called Dino up in Conway but the shelter won't ship him without meeting me first - I'm gutted. :( Do you think if it got to the point where he wasn't adopted and they were looking to destroy him they may reconsider? What do you think? I can understand their position though.
