Camping and weddings can go together...
....if you get the right campground. We stayed at Willey Brook, which was a hoot. Showers (above) are very important. These were incredibly clean and cute to boot.
A comfy tent helps.
And when your niece and nephew-to-be love animals...
...points for that right? Even though they are bunny huggers instead of kitten huggers? Well, guess again...who did they adopt that first bunny from? Yes indeedy, back when Wildrun was Wildlife Control, Looper lived here, and Kagen and Eliza came to visit and fell in love (with the bunny...they were already in love with each other).
And so began the great bunny adventure (they adopted a second, but not from me)...and a BUNNY THEMED WEDDING!
Many, many happy years, you two. Anyone who comes up with a not-just-edible-but-absolutely-delicious wedding cake is going to have a long and happy life.
And I, of course, managed to find wild fauna at the wedding table.
A wonderful life to you both, Eliza and Kagen.

Ooo. What a nice wedding with human and animals...so sweet. Wish mine would be the same too!
We had one of my dogs in the wedding procession. I don't think that she (the dog) got it, but we sure did, and I'm glad that she was there. Since then, however, the dogs have reverted to being, in my wife's words "YOUR dogs," i.e. she doesn't really feel that they're something of the family, just more of the voluminous baggage I've dragged along with me. Moral of the story? I don't know, . . .uh, don't think that because she likes your dog that she's going to tolerate an animal-filled life? Put more animals in the wedding and see if she balks? Watch out, they change the rules after the glass has been stomped on? A moose can bite your sister? No, really. ..
I wish you had posted this earlier, you could've stayed with us. Or we could've met for tea. You were only 45 minutes away!
Hey nio...yes, I thought of that AFTERWARD and read your blog and thought...hmmmm...nio's in New Hampshire. It was sort of a zip in and zip out trip (as much as one can "zip" in NH--I've never been behind so many slow moving Harleys in my life). It sure is a beautiful place. The campground was only $55 for two nights, which included fire wood. The hotel would have been over $200. The cost of the tent has more than paid for itself over the years, although the older we get, the harder the ground becomes.
I'm sure you must've realized it's near impossible to go east/west in New Hampshire. The phrase 'you can't get there from he-ah' doesn't just apply to Maine.
The bikes were moving slowly because they're from Massachusetts. Mass has a helmet law and NH doesn't (nor does CT and Maine) so the bikers come up and take Sunday drives. It can be quite annoying when you actually live here.
Yes, Wolf and I noticed how hard the ground is getting. The last time we camped, about two years ago, I whimpered throughout the night.
Come again, though. It would be awesome to meet a fellow blogger and cat rescuer.
