Nick, our indoor/outdoor cat, went out this morning as usual. Normally I won't be able to coax him in until evening. He'll play keep-away if he suspects he is about to be grabbed and brought back in.
This morning, Nick went out for a half-hour.
Then Nick came back in again, and is curled up on the floor of the den.
It is 38 degrees F this morning.
Welcome to fall, and open the door to winter.
It's time to clean out the cat shelters, buy new straw, and prepare for the cold.
Another summer has come and gone.
