I posted the video on Facebook, without watching it. I watched it this AM. While it demonstrates that a cat and bird can get along, it still concerns me. There were several close calls when the cat jumped after the leather ties on the owl's feet. It seems apparent these 2 were raised together, but unintentional accidents happen. Sorry to be Debby Downer.

Hey Connie--I agree with you. I kind of wondered what was going to happen when the cat was less of a teenager. I also had concerned the other way around...I've seen dogs with serious injuries from owl. On the other hand, I've never seen video that shows an owl being this interactive with another species--almost like another cat. It was a surprise to me. I've heard of handraised owls who considered their human companion as their "mate" and who became aggressive/jealous of other humans.
